THIS IS IT, I CAN WITHSTAND NO MORE.
I unerstand picking, testing, sleeping with wood-although there is a dark corner somewhere-then the glue drools, chips fly, dust billowing, braces, cauls, bindings, rosettes, tuners, intonation and etc., etc, glitter tuning,... I was willing to confront and attempt to master all necessary processes.
I wanted to build '33 D 18. because I need all modifications poss. to ease barring, shallower-is that a new word? in neck profile, Novax system. radius 71/2-14. I wanted to learn some Patty Griffin songs, and, because she d tunes, I can drop to barritone/base and Voila.
The reasons my wrists are thrust toward all here:I have since learned that modifications are made to better aid the sound of the tuning--needs plenty of bass to round out sound-
So,..that's it-I don't have the time to attend MIT, become master cabinet maker.,the ear of your mother when you came in at 3:00 am..just for starters. I find myself mumbling more each day-sometimes a terrets like shout will emerggbe like 'the sides way too hot..
Ef i koninu I mmigt loos..my

Easy does it Bob
That title was a little alarming...
Take a little time away and re-approach with a fresh
clear mind. Building can be very frustrating.

OR -

Have that 33 D-18 built for you to tie you over

Todd...wow, I played a D18 Authentic at a show last weekend and didn't like it at all. There was a Huss and Dalton sitting beside it that blew it away. So, they don't ALL sound that good.

I think Stew-Mac carries the best BBQ sauce, it's clear too!
